A lot has happened since my last post. This last weekend we blessed Jaxton. We had a great turn out and enjoyed seeing the family and friends who came. Thank you everyone for supporting us as well as helping with dinner! Isn't family great! Anyway, Jaxton was very good and slept almost all day. However he didn't want to sleep that night. Yea, another long night for Mommy. On the way home, we saw a hole heard of elk grazing in a field. The kids thought it they were neat!
Saturday night Jaxton got to meet Grandma and Grandpa MacPherson and his aunts Caylee and Mariah. Grandpa Doug couldn't wait to meet his namesake. I know now that we gave Jaxton the right middle name because not only does Jaxton look like his grandpa now, but apparently he looks like his grandpa when his grandpa was a baby. Anyway, the two of them bonded quite well over the weekend. Having grandparents usually means that you get some form of gifts or treats. This is often referred to as spoiling, but I see it as being extra loving. This weekend was no exception from both sets of grandparents. Grandma and Grandpa MacPherson gave the girls these cute little hats which they have been wearing nearly non-stop ever since. Makayla even stuck a large red flower in hers to make it a bit more fancy. They gave Austin a Disney Cars t-shirt, hat, ball, and race car. All of which Austin has not let go of since he came home. He wore his shirt today and wouldn't even change into a pj shirt because he wanted to still wear Lightening McQueen. I may have to invest in some Cars pjs just so I can get his t-shirt washed again. The girls were also each given a necklace from their Grandma Harrop. Not to mention all the hugs and kisses too. Aren't grandparents the sweetest people in the world!
Mommy and Daddy also spoiled Austin a little bit this week. We decided it was time for him to have his own bike. He was ruining his shoes when he rode his little push car so we decided it would be a good investment instead of buying more shoes. Ausitn loves his new bike although he is still trying to figure out how to use the pedals. Maybe Kerrigan (our neighbor girl) can show him how they work. She has a bike just like Austin's except his is red and hers is pink.
While Austin was practicing riding his bike Kelsea and Makayla drew chalk pictures on the driveway. They are becoming quite the little artists.
And while the other kids were occupied riding bikes and drawing, Jaxton was smiling away at Mommy. And Mommy... was taking pictures...
