Reflections of Christ
Today after the kids were out of school, a friend of mine and I took our kids to see the Reflections of Christ exhibit by Mark Mabry. It was such a neat experience to show the kids how the pictures depicted the life of Christ as well as a few other important stories from the scriptures. There was an intro video we watched before seeing the exhibit. I held Jaxton on my lap and asked him if he could see Jesus. He pointed to the screen and said: "There he is!" Then in a whisper said: "Jesus." It was so sweet and made me feel good that even my nearly two-year-old knows or remembers who Jesus is. The other kids enjoyed seeing the pictures and listened as my friend and I explained what each one meant. Last Sunday, this same friend and I went to a fireside and listened to Mark Mabry talk about how the whole Reflections of Christ exhibit came to be. It was pretty interesting to listen to him talk. Very uplifting! The exhibit will be in town until Sunday night then it will be closed with a special concert. I am hoping to attend with Adam since he couldn't go with us today. The funny thing about this whole thing, is that I realized tonight as I was thinking about the exhibit, that my parents gave me a hardbound book called: Reflections of Christ by, Mark Mabry for Christmas two years ago and I had completely forgotten about it. Now the book means so much more since I have been able to listen to the artist and see the artwork firsthand. (Thanks Mom & Dad) Not to mention that my kids will also enjoy going through the book and remember seeing the 'big' versions of the pictures.
If you want to see the artwork for yourself visit: www.reflectionsofchrist.org It is well worth the visit.
She did it again...
Only about three weeks later, and tooth number two comes out. Makayla pulled her second tooth after she got home today. She came up to me and said: "I pulled another one." I did notice that her permanent tooth is starting to poke up in the spot left by the first lost tooth, so Makayla won't have a huge gap for too long.
Valentine's Weekend
Kelseanja's Birthday, Mom and Kaloni visiting, Valentine's Day, and another birthday party for Kaloni's boyfriend, Jacob, all proved to be a long, yet fun-filled weekend. We had balloons, ice cream cake, presents, games, friends, and a whole lot of excitement!

Loose Tooth Lost
Well, Makayla finally pulled her first loose tooth out. It only took her a week. Last Tuesday when she came home from school she said: "The Toothfairy won't come if my room is messy, huh Mom? I guess I better go clean it then." I reminded her of that again now that her tooth is out. So we will see if she gets her room cleaned so the Toothfairy can come.
