Cute Little Puppy

Until I can do my next updates, here is a cute little puppy from Halloween to enjoy!

New Look!

The blog is getting a makeover. I am not sure if I like it yet since there are things I can't edit. The only thing is I don't know how to change it back so I guess this is how it will have to be now. I am also working on a more detailed update of the things I have missed throughout the year which will be a slide-show. I have a lot of updating so I am only half-way through. I hope everyone is well. We are doing great and feel very blessed for all that we have. Well, I will post more later goodnight!

Happy First Birthday, Trenton!

Dear Trenton,
Words can hardly express how I felt that moment I first held you in my arms. I loved you from the moment I learned you were coming to our family. I loved you even more the first time I looked into your precious little face. I have loved watching you grow and learn over the past year and love you even more each moment. Your smile, lights up my day and your sweet spirit fills our home with joy. How blessed we are to have you in our lives! We all love you! Happy Birthday my Little Man!

MacPhersons on the Move (small update)

I know that it has been awhile since my last post. I have a lot of catch-up work to do with the blog. But for those of you who may not know what we have been up to the last several months I will give you the short version. In February we found a great house for sale. It needed a lot of work, but overall it was a great home for the location, price, and size. We put in a bid and SURPRISE we got the bid (I seriously didn't think we would). There was tons of paperwork, running around from one end of the valley to the other, finding contractors to do repairs, more paperwork, then finally we closed on the May 6th. That's when the fun really began fixing the house up and moving in...but that is another story for another post. The exciting thing is we are now living in our new house and working one being completely moved from the old house. There is still lots of work to be done and things are very busy. We are enjoying our new neighbors and our new ward. Everyone has been very friendly and we feel very welcome. Oh, and kids didn't want me to forget to mention that we got a new puppy named Mason and a new kitten named Miss Rosie May. So, lots of new changes happening right now.

Anyway, if anyone is out our way just let me know we would love to see you. Also, I want to thank my mother, brother, sister, niece, and friends, and neighbors who have visited and helped with the move. We really appreciate the help!

Jaxton Turns 3 Years Old

Catching bug gear from Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Adam, and Aunt Kaloni

Jaxton loves trains and cars so when he saw his birthday gift he couldn't contain his excitement. He loves his train table!

Couldn't resist taking these pictures.

Kelseanja's 7th Birthday

On Kelseanja's birthday, to celebrate, the girls and I went to Angelo's (a place to paint pottery) where we painted our own little figurines. It was exactly what Kelseanja wanted to do for her birthday. Later, when Adam came home we had a family party for her.

Gift and money from Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Adam, and Aunt Kaloni

The rose that Mommy and Daddy dropped off at school with a teddy bear for her birthday.

Finally Last Updates from 2010

For the last day of 2010, the kids, Kaloni, and I painted. It was so much messy fun. Jacob (my sister's boyfriend) came over as well and we basically watched movies. played games, and had yummy snacks to celebrate New Year's. It was loads of fun. A couple days before we also joined Jacob's family and drove over Colorado Nat'l Monument and stopped at the visitor's center. Then played games with his family later. Nothing like spending time with good friends! (Missed Jenny and Riyo though.)

Here is a Christmas post that I forgot...Austin played a reindeer in his little Christmas play at his preschool. He was so cute! He also still remembers the song: "Santa Clause is Coming to Town" and sings it to Trenton.

12-16-2010 to 12-25-2010 Catching Up Part 1: December Fun

Later Christmas Day, we put Trenton in his new high chair and gave him his first bites of baby cereal. He loved it! (Now not so much.) I must add that I love his high chair. We have never had one before and I think it will come in very handy as Trenton grows and learns to eat more solid foods.

Everyone enjoying their gifts.

Christmas Morning, the kids let us sleep in; a miracle I know. I told them that since Daddy had to work the night before that they needed to let him get some sleep. The girls and Jaxton even had their baths and were dressed. Around ten o'clock they couldn't take it anymore and came begging us to get up. The traditional wrapping paper in the doorway kept the kids from sneaking in to see their gifts, so when it was time they couldn't wait to rip it down. We let Jaxton do the honors. He was afraid to rip the paper at first, but soon got the idea. Yay, they were through!

Christmas Eve Day, Kelseanja is showing off her new haircut. Not too much off, but just enough to make it easier to comb. Based on the pictures you wouldn't know that it was the end of December. It was 50 plus degrees that day. Not Christmas weather. Anyway, isn't Kelseanja so pretty!!! I am not partial at all.

12-21-2010 Just before we had to leave I let Annelise, (my darling niece) hold Trenton. She was so excited and loved holding the 'baby'. Too cute! She will make a good big sister someday.

Family Christmas Party. Grandma Lloy and Uncle Glade came to visit. Grandpa was recovering from a knee surgery so he couldn't make it. We had a little program and exchanged gifts. Austin was so cute he sang Santa Clause is Coming to Town. While in Vernal we also went to the Dinosaur Museum, but I didn't have my camera so the only picts are on my cell phone. i am not sure how to get them off. Adam ans I also took Trenton to visit our dear friend Ann Reynolds. We had a good little visit. It is always good to spend time with a dear friend.

12-19-2010 We went to Vernal to see family. Had a blast! Harrop Family Pictures in the snow (minus Uncle Adam he had to work):(. It was a cold and snowy visit, but that is what memories are made of right!

Trenton's play date with his little friend Michelle 12/16/2010.

Decorating the Christmas Tree

Dec. 13, 2010. Well, we finally got around to decorating the Christmas Tree. This year my pre-lit tree gave me quite some problems. I got it out of the box and put it together and plugged it in only to have patches around the tree not lit-up. Then after replacing about forty bulbs over the course of two days, I finally got it completely lit-up. Although, my tree was lit with all white lights it now has colored lights in all the places I replaced bulbs. Yay, the tree was finally lit! Yeah, that lasted for about one night. I got up the next morning only to find that the boys had been playing with the bulbs on the bottom of the tree and it was missing lights. So after messing with lights again and spending about an hour I couldn't figure out why the I couldn't get the bottom two rows of branches to light up. Frustrated, I gave-up. When Adam got home from work he messed with it and checked about half of the bulbs. Then I tested the other half only to find that every bulb was working. So then I started to follow the wires and found a wire that had been completely cut! I was not happy at all! Not wanting to deal with it anymore I ran a string of colored lights around the bottom of the tree and called it good. The next day the kids and I decorated it. As crazy as it was trying to get the tree to look nice, I think we did an awesome job and the tree turned out beautiful. Adam even got me a lovely new angel for the top.

Coco With Santa & Hike to Miracle Rock

Dec. 11, 2010 Kids got to have hot chocolate and cookies with Santa who stopped to see the kids in our ward for a quick visit. Jaxton showed no fear and was the first of our kids to sit on Santa's lap. He also downed several cookies and a couple cups of chocolate. Austin had no problems telling what he wanted for Christmas even though I am not sure how much of it Santa understood. Kelseanja made a little list on a piece of paper, so Santa would know what she wanted. Makayla wrote Santa a poem which he read. Trenton got to meet Santa for the first time and didn't seem to mind the big white beard which may have gotten drooled on. I think Santa enjoyed holding him as well as a few other newborns in the ward. When Santa was done listening to all the kids and posing for hundreds of pictures he was off.

After we helped clean-up, we grabbed some lunch and headed for the hills. We found ourselves in Glade Park up in Colorado National Monument at a little picnic area near Miracle Rock (aka Potato Rock). We ate our lunch, then decided to find where this large rock was hiding. After all how hard could it be to find a huge rock anyway?

There were a few trails, but none of them was clearly marked, so we guessed. Just over 1/4 a mile later, hiking in the snow, we finally found the gigantic rock.

Of course we took pictures and played for a short while then headed back to the picnic area.

Where we found an arch-like overhang and took more pictures. For December, it was a nice warm day clocking in at almost 50 degrees. Can anyone say Heatwave?

For a spur-of-the-moment family outing, we had an enjoyable time. On the way home I took more pictures of the scenery as the kids watched "Tinkerbelle and the Great Fairy Rescue" for the second time that day, but this time in French. (That is what happens when there is only one movie in the van and Daddy is with us.) The funny part is that none of the kids realized it was playing in French for about fifteen minutes when Kelseanja finally pipped up saying: "Why can't I understand what they are saying?" Funny, funny. Even funnier, we left it in French and the kids didn't seem to mind.

Silly Time

Dec. 10 2010. Adam and Austin playing. I am sure Austin has no idea he is showing the 'loser' sign. Still hilarious!

Kelseanja asleep, Makayla sick, Jaxton being funny.

Trenton Enjoying His Toy Saucer

Nov. 29 2010 Trenton in his toy saucer for the first time. Also, him trying to put all his fingers in his mouth at the same time. So Cute!
