Baby Update

Now that I am finally getting caught up on the blog, I wanted to announce the results from our ultrasound. Thanks for everyone who took the poll. A few of you actually guessed right. We are having a Boy! I have to admit that I was a little surprised because I really felt we were having a girl, but either way we are happy and can't wait until our new little boy arrives. He is due August 29th. The ultrasound showed that he is growing very well with no complications. He is very active. I told the doctor that I must have a little soccer player in there with as much as he moves. When I announced to the kids what we were having, Makayla said: "I thought we were have a girl." I think she is a little disappointed, but hopefully will love him just as much as she would if he was a little sister instead. Kelseanja doesn't really care as long as she gets to help out when the baby comes. When I told Austin he exclaimed: "Yes, a boy!" Then I told him that this means he will have two little brothers. Makayla overheard me and said: "That means that I will have THREE little brothers, ahh!" Jaxton still doesn't really understand what is happening, but when you ask him where the baby is he points to my belly. We are planning on naming the new baby Trenton Reed MacPherson, a name I feel is truly inspired. Reed was also Adam's Grandpa Jackson's name, so we find it fitting. Anyway, things are going well and we look forward to announcing the birth of our new addition at the end of the summer.

Easter Weekend 2010

For Easter/Conference weekend we visited the Butterfly House again (of course only after watching the first session of General Conference.) Mom and Kaloni came to visit and they hadn't been there before so we took them. We had fun watching the butterflies, taking pictures of the flowers and kids, and checking out the cactus garden outside. When we were done inside, the kids got to search for eggs on the lawn of the Butterfly House. That is the one thing the kids wanted to do most is go on an Easter egg hunt. When we were finished we quickly rushed home and got the kids ready for their portrait appointment. They all did really good smiling for the camera. Jaxton didn't want to sit for a picture with his siblings so we were only able to get one picture of the kids all together. The portraits turned out great though, and the kids all looked so adorable in their new Easter clothes. Sunday, the kids got to check out what the Easter Bunny brought. They gathered bunny tracks and searched for hidden eggs filled with candy. Then we watched General Conference and relaxed the rest of the day. Overall it was a fun weekend.
