April Fools Day 2009

(Song on video is the group Voice Male singing "When I see and Elephant Fly.")

Here is a little slide show video I put together for April Fools Day. I'm sorry if there is not enough time to read the pages. My program only allows ten seconds max per page. You may have to watch it more than once or press pause. This is also my very first video (I made personally for the blog) Enjoy!

I also made-up new words to the song "Pop-Corn Popping", since it was snowing one the first day of April here:

I looked out the window and what did I see-
Snowballs flying right in front of me.
Spring has brought me such a nice surprise
Snowflakes falling right before my eyes
I can take an armful and make a treat-
a great big snowman "Isn't he neat!"
You say it can't be so, but it's really true
April's Foolin' both me and you!

Trip-March 20th-23rd

On March 20th, we traveled down to Fayette, UT and stayed with Great-Grandma & Grandpa Harrop. It was the first time we had be there in a little over a year. That was also Jaxton's first time seeing Grandma Ann and Grandpa Rich. The kids had a blast throwing a toy back-and-forth between Grandpa and watching his dog, Champ, chase it from person to person until he got tired. Everyone was laughing. Grandma couldn't believe how well my kids could throw. Soon it was time for bed.

The next day, we got ready to go to Highland, UT for Lacey and Dan's party. Dan's mother and sisters threw Lacey a baby shower, Dan a graduation party, and them both moving to Boston (won't see them in awhile) party, all rolled into one big celebration. There were lots of family and friends there to support Lacey and Dan. It was good to see them as well as many other family members that we haven't seen in a long time. The kids had fun playing outside. We also learned that Makayla is allergic to horses. She came in from playing to show me that her eyes were nearly swollen shut. We took care of her with medicine and a cool cloth and she was back out to play about an hour later (but not around the horse).
That night we stayed in a hotel in Springville, Ut so we could be close to visit Adam's parents.

Sunday morning we got up and went to Adam's parents' Stake Conference where we had the priviledge of listening to several good speakers. The highlight of the conference was Elder Jeffery R. Holland. After, conference we went to Grandma Jane and Grandpa Doug's and had a nice lunch. After visiting for a few hours we went back to the hotel where we though there was an indoor swingpool so the kids were all hyped-up to swim and even Aunt Mariah came to swim, but sadly they only had an outdoor pool so we couldn't swim. G & G MacPherson came to get Mariah and they visited with us for awhile until bedtime.

Monday, we packed-up and went and picked-up Great-Grandma MacPherson and took her out to eat. We had a nice visit with her and even stopped by the Mt. Timpanogas Temple for a quick, but cold photo opp. We also went by Uncle Curt and Aunt Wanda's to see them for a few minutes before heading home. The kids had a snowball fight with Uncle Curt as it snowed large flakes. After dropping Grandma off back at home we headed back to Spanish Fork and stopped one last time to see G & G MacPherson before heading home in the snow storm. We all had a fun trip and were so happy to see so many family members in such a short time. We love and miss you all!

Jaxton's 1st Haircut-March 20, 2009

"Cool Dude!" (taken day before haircut.)

Well, I decided it was time for Jaxton to get a hair cut. He was beginning to look like a little girl with his curls around the back of his head or like a balding man who combs his hair over to try to cover more of his bare head. Anyway, I originally was just going to do a trim and when that didn't quite look good I got out the clippers and trimmed his hair that way. It was so much faster and speed for a one year old is essential. He actually did quite well and looks so much better.

Spring Break March 13th-16th

The week after Jaxton's birthday, we went to Vernal. We had to go get Makayla anyway because she had been in Vernal all week for her Spring Break days. While there the girls got invited to a b-day party for for their friend Harley. It was nice enough that they were able to have the party at the park. After the party was over, we as a family, stayed and had a picnic. (Grandpa Rob, Grandma Lawona, and Kaloni included.) We pretty much spent the day at the park. Adam and the kids tried to keep a kite in the air, Kelsea made friends with a little boy who kept calling her 'sister' and followed her everywhere. I am not sure if she liked him as much, but she was nice and put up with him. I told Adam that 'it looked like he was going already start beating the boys off with a stick.' He agreed. What can we say our girls are cuties! Jaxton was doing his best to move around the playground and we tried to get him to keep his sunglasses on, but anything like shoes, socks, hats or sunglasses don't usually stay on longer than 30 seconds. After hours of fun we decided it was time to leave the park. Not bad for a pre-spring day.

The next day we went to Roosevelt because my uncle was put in the High Coucil in his stake. We spent the afternoon at his house with his family and Grandma and Grandpa Sessions. Not to mention having a yummy meal.

Sunday night Jaxton fell off the bed and landed on his nose. Then I went and put a red shirt on him the morning. Yea we called him Rudolph for awhile. Then on Monday we traveled home the looong way because there was an accident that closed the road over Douglas Pass. It took us forever it seemed to get home because the kids kept needing bathroom breaks and Jaxton screamed half the way. He was tired of being in his carseat. It wasn't too bad, we saw lots of deer and elk and the scenery was prettier.
