Baby Cereal, Corn Husking, Pj's, and a Band-aid

Jaxton's first real taste of baby cereal. Messy, but after several tries he decides he likes the oatmeal flavored baby cereal. He still has a hard time keeping it in his mouth though. And he gets upset when I don't spoon the cereal fast enough.

Sunday we had corn on the cob for dinner and I had Kelsea and Austin help me husk the corn.

The kids hanging-out still in pj's Sunday morning.

So Cute!
Who is hiding under the blanket?

It's Austin!

Jaxton scratched his face Friday then the next morning scratched the scab off so I had to put a band-aid on his cheek to stop the bleeding. I also trimmed his fingernails. Having a band-aid on his cheek didn't seem to faze him. He still is full of smilies!

Sweetly Sleeping

I took these pictures of the kids after they had fallen asleep. They are so sweet when they are sleeping. Sweet Dreams...

Just a little note on Jaxton:
He turned 4 months old on July 7th
He now weighs 16 lbs and is 25 inches long.
I had to move him from the bassinet to our small crib
because he is growing so fast.
So far he seems to like his new bed.

Slip-n-Slide

The kids try out the new slip-n-slide that Grandma & Grandpa Harrop gave Makayla for her b-day (only a month late). They couldn't wait to try it so as soon as we got home from Vernal a couple weeks ago they were out sliding. Well, they still haven't quite grasped the concept of 'sliding on your belly', but they still have had fun with it.

Our 4th of July

I hope everyone had a Happy Fourth of July! We had a fun day not extremely eventful but fun still the same. Adam and I took the kids to see Wall-E it was a cute movie. The kids liked having snacks and popcorn probably a little more than the actual movie, but they still liked it. We were planning on going to the parade, however, the movie got started late because of tech problems with their camera, so we missed the parade. When it was starting to get dark the three older kids did sparklers while Jaxton took a nap. Afterwards, we drove down the road a bit from our house near the train tracks so we could have better seats for the fireworks. The fireworks also started late, but they were really pretty. Adam found the station that was broadcasting the music from the stadium so we were able to listen to the music and enjoy the fireworks without having to deal with the hassle of traffic. It was nice! Anyway, my camera wasn't working the greatest so I didn't get any pictures of Jaxton. I was able to get a few pictures of the other kids though. I pulled some photos of the fireworks and the kids doing sparklers off of my video camera which was wanting to blur half the time (I am still learning how to use it). Anyway, aside from missing the parade and the cameras not working properly, we still managed to have a pretty fun day.

Our First Trip to the Cabin this Year

The Cabin (Front)
The Cabin (Back)

I decided to give the blog a makeover for the 4th holiday. I think it looks really good. Anyway, this last week/weekend the kids and I went to the Cabin. It was Jaxton's first trip to the Cabin and also our new van's first trip to the CabinMy mom, sister Kaloni, and grandparents were all there. While there we tried to avoid the mosquitoes, we took lots of pictures, we played games, found baby robin bird eggs, and had an overall fun time! We can't wait to go back, hopefully with Daddy next time.
