Jaxton and Kelsea moments from this week

Jaxton chillin' in his daddy's massage chair. He seemed to enjoy the massage and sat there until it was finished. Too funny!

I would also like to share a little conversation I had with Kelsea this week.
Kelsea: "I can't wait until I am five." (Her b-day is in a few weeks.)
Me: "Why don't you stay four forever and always be my little girl?"
Kelsea: "I have to grow-up, so when I'm eight I can be baptized."
Me: "Oh, okay I guess I have to let you at least turn eight then you can be my little girl forever."
Kelsea: "Okay, maybe."

Yes! Finally! He has done it!

Over the past year we have been trying to potty train Austin. He has had no desire whatsoever. I tried everything I could think of, but each of my efforts would fall short. Then nearly two weeks ago we had a break through. I wont go into details, but I finally convinced Austin that he would be such a big boy if he learned to go potty in the toilet. Then I let him pick out some new underwear at the store (again) and by the end of the day he was going potty all by himself. It was a miracle! Since then he has been doing very well. He still has a few things to work on, but he is getting there. Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you Austin!

We also got Austin his own bed. He is so excited to finally have his own bed again. He especially loves his new sheets and comforter.

Thanks Mom for putting my new bed together!

Goofy Kids

Well, it has been a little while since I posted anything, mostly due to the fact that over the past week our house has been visited by the flu bug. The kids all got some form of the nasty bug and all still have awful sounding coughs. I too have felt like I may be getting a cough. It will be so nice to have a healthy family again. Trying to keep-up with four sick kids at once is not an easy task. Anyway, I wanted to post some pictures of the kids acting goofy the week before they all got sick.

The kids got some Kid K'nex toys for Christmas and the toys have been a great hit. Everyone has had fun building 'creatures'. They keep the kids busy for quite awhile. The biggest problem is that they don't seem to have enough pieces for everyone to have what they want. I may have to invest in a few more sets to keep the peace. One night they kids went totally crazy and started building hats.

This is Austin's 'Helicopter Snake'

One night, just after I got Jaxton in his PJ's, he started putting his socks in his mouth. I started laughing and he started showing off. It was so funny to watch him crawl around with the socks hanging out of his mouth. I didn't realize that socks would make such a good teether. Which by the way Jaxton now has three more teeth on the top bringing his grand total to 5 teeth.
